One of the hardest things I’ve found about this year is attempting to be creative, or not, in whatever shape or form that looks like. And this is coming from the man that, in between the period of November to November, was put on garden leave for two months and further enjoyed the joys of furlough for five summer months.

So I’ll let you figure out how many days I’ve actually worked in the last year (I almost feel like a teacher).

The biggest thing for me has been mindset, and getting my head into the right space to do…

Go out. But please stay in. Eat out to help out, but please, would you eat in? Stay safe and help others, but really, be selfish and look after yourselves.

This isn’t a government bashing by any means, as I don’t know enough about politics to state an informed opinion. But I do know enough to declare I’m sick to absolute death of seeing middle-aged white men of the upper class, in expensive suits, make decisions over all of our futures, when they can’t even decide if we’re going to be shaking a leg and doing the Hokey Cokey next…

Kanye West has been one of the most polarizing figures of the last fifteen years. You can hate or love him, but what can’t be denied is his impact on the world as we know it. Arguably a musical genius behind the scenes producing as well as behind the microphone, his quick-witted, tongue in cheek lines garnered him millions of fans, opened the door for him to explore other lucrative avenues and gave him the audacity to half force Taylor Swift off stage. But now, in 2020, we’re dealing with a very different Kanye.

Watching him do what he is…

So, we’re four months in, and how’s everyone doing? We all know this year is going to go like this: January, February, then Christmas. Nothing happened in between the other months, did it?

It’s all been a bit of a blur to say the least. It wasn’t that long ago Corona only had one use, and that was to stick a lime in it. Now look at the things we’d love to do, to be in a pub under normal circumstances, without a booking system and a bit of music playing, drinking a Corona with a lime in it.

With…

Ah, good old mental health. We’ve all got it, whether it’s healthy or not. But not all of us want to talk about it, or feel the need to.

One thing’s for sure — in this current time of world crisis we find ourselves in, everyone is being tested, in one way or another. What happens to those people who were already feeling low and suffering before this crisis even began? And what happens to the people now who are affected by it, and find their whole behaviour and mindset has changed?

The world is scary as hell. The knock…

Well, what a conundrum the world finds itself in, ay.

It’s hard to see when we’re gonna’ be getting out of this one. I’m worried, you’re worried, and in the most uncertain of times I pose the question: who else can’t wait for KFC to reopen?! If I have to jog past it again with its dimmed lights, closed doors and lack of fried chicken being cooked up in the kitchen, then I might just keep running (Forest Gump-esque) until the shutters are finally removed and we can all go back to our 10 piece-for-one, in peace.

It’s not really…

Excuse my French, but what the fuck is going on in this country? Can we even excuse our French anymore? Are they our friends now we’re dangling a foot out of the EU? Do the powers that be even know what EU stands for? Does anyone have any answers? Does Boris own any mirrors in Downing Street? If not, why?!

This is by no means a political, opinionated piece. Of course, I have an opinion, as does the rest of the UK, and there seems to be 66 million different theories and pieces of mind floating about. …

Who loves talking about time more than me? In my eyes, I’ll tell you how this year’s gone: January — wedding in April — nearly September. Would anyone else disagree? This 12 months malarkey is a myth.

The World Cup finished nearly 14 months ago, Villa booked their place in the pillar of football back in May, and Love Island has churned out another 50 Z-list ‘celebrities’ that are going to promote toothpaste and coffee beans for the rest of their lives. …

He’s a business, man. Not a businessman.

I have a mixed relationship when it comes to Jay-Z. Not that he’s aware of it, or even remotely affected by my thoughts and feelings towards him as a rapper and individual. He seems to be doing ok without me to be honest.

But it’s hard to find anyone who wouldn’t argue that he is a walking, talking embodiment of the American Dream. It used to be the case, that combined with Beyonce, he was a billy billionaire. Now he doesn’t need the wife, he’s hitting ten figures just fine on his own. …

Did 2018 happen? Or did we all blink too fast and just get fat from Christmas?

One of my favourite things to ponder on is time. Or lack of as the case seems to be. It’s definitely true what they say: time does seem to speed up as you get older.

This may be the case, but still, where the hell has this year gone, man?! It only feels like last week I was singing “It’s coming home” and lobbing beers on a vast amount of unassuming people. Or having a jolly on one of my many stag do’s, coming…
